Terms of Service
Effective: 22 May 2026
These Terms govern your use of meletium.com and the Meletium application ("Meletium"). By creating an account or using Meletium, you agree to these Terms.
-
Eligibility.
You must be at least 16 years old to use Meletium. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 16 or older.
-
Your content.
The documents you upload and the conversations you have with Glaux are yours. You keep ownership. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, process, and display your content solely to deliver the service to you — for example, to answer your questions about a book or to generate study materials for you. This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account.
By uploading content you confirm that you have the right to upload it — for example, that you own it, hold a licence to it, or are entitled to use it under a copyright exception such as private study. You agree to indemnify us against any third-party claim arising from content you upload that you did not have the right to upload.
Meletium is a private study tool. You may not share or publish other users' content. You may not use Meletium to redistribute substantial portions of copyrighted material.
-
AI-generated content.
Glaux is an AI. When you interact with Glaux, you are interacting with an artificial intelligence system, not a person. Responses are generated by language models without human supervision.
Glaux can be wrong. Outputs may contain material inaccuracies even when they appear correct and confident. Do not rely on Meletium for medical, legal, financial, or examined-coursework decisions without independently verifying the information.
Not a teacher. Meletium is a study companion, not a teacher. The information Glaux provides does not constitute formal educational instruction and does not substitute for guidance from a qualified teacher, tutor, or examiner.
Not a cheating tool. Meletium is designed to help you learn, not to do your work for you. Submitting Meletium-generated answers as your own in a formal assessment may violate your institution's academic-integrity policy. You are responsible for your own submissions.
No training on your content. We do not use your uploads, your conversations, or Meletium-generated artifacts to train AI models — ours or anyone else's.
Outputs. To the extent we hold any rights in the outputs Glaux generates for you, we assign those rights to you.
-
Acceptable use.
You may use Meletium for personal study and learning. You may not use Meletium for any unlawful purpose, or to upload illegal content; upload content you don't have the right to upload; use Meletium to generate or distribute content that infringes another person's rights; attempt to bypass usage caps, scrape, reverse engineer, or otherwise misuse the service; use Meletium to build a competing product; or share your account with others. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Where possible we will tell you the reason and give you a chance to respond.
-
Usage caps.
Meletium is free for personal use within usage caps: 50 units per month, 1 book upload per month, and up to 500 pages per upload. All features are available within these caps.
We may adjust the caps as the service evolves. We will not silently reduce them without notice.
-
As is.
Meletium is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We make no promise that it will be available without interruption, that it will be free of bugs, or that its outputs will be accurate.
-
Limitation of liability.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any loss or damage arising from these Terms or your use of Meletium is limited to €100. This limit does not apply to death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or willful misconduct, gross negligence, or any other liability that EU or Greek law does not permit us to limit.
-
Termination.
You can stop using Meletium at any time and delete your account from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, or discontinue the service. If we discontinue Meletium, we will give registered users at least 30 days' notice and an opportunity to export their data.
-
Changes to these Terms.
If we change these Terms materially, we will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. The current version is always at meletium.com/terms.
-
Governing law and disputes.
These Terms are governed by Greek law. Any dispute will be brought before the competent courts of Athens. If you are a consumer resident in the European Economic Area or Switzerland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live, and the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country continue to apply.
